Principal's Message

Stefanie Carter-Dodson is a San Antonio, Texas native and has lived in the Austin area for over twenty years. In 2023, she became Principal of the Del Valle Opportunity Center after many years serving Del Valle ISD as an assistant principal, literacy director, and teacher. Prior to working in DVISD, she taught in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina. Ms. Carter earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Education from Texas State University.
